William Whiteley have been manufacturing scissors in Sheffield since the year 1760. While today they are at the forefront of technological innovation, they still employ highly skilled workers who use traditional methods to manufacture some of their products, including tailors shears. Andrew who features in the video is one of the very last skilled hand-grinders working in the industry. Savile Row tailors, Cad & The Dandy commissioned Department Two to document the process of a pair of custom 13" shears being made with both a short film and photo essay.
